Your Brain’s Search Engine

I recently learned that the brain has a ‘gatekeeper’ for reality called the RAS, and it functions much like the observer effect in quantum physics. This realization brings up a fascinating question, has anyone else here consciously used this concept, your brain’s search engine, to manifest their desired reality? Think about something you see every single day but almost never notice, like the tip of your nose. Your brain literally filters it out because it deems it irrelevant. This isn’t just a fun trick; it’s proof of a profound truth about how we construct our reality.

Meet the Gatekeeper of Your Reality The RAS

At the base of your brainstem, you have a network of neurons called the Reticular Activating System, or RAS. You can think of it as a gatekeeper or a powerful search engine for your reality. You give this system a command, and it diligently filters the billions of bits of data coming at you every moment. Its job is to only show you what it believes is important and relevant to you.

Have you ever decided you wanted a specific car, and then suddenly, you start seeing it everywhere you go? It might feel like a strange coincidence, but it’s a perfect example of your RAS in action. The number of those cars on the road didn’t suddenly increase; they were always there. Your RAS just received a new search command and began highlighting what you told it was important.

Your Brain’s Search Engine and the Quantum Observer Effect

Now, letโ€™s take this fascinating concept to the quantum level. In the famous double-slit experiment, scientists discovered a mind-bending principle. They found that particles exist in a wave of infinite possibilities until the moment they are observed. The simple act of observation is what collapses that wave of potential into a single, physical event. In essence, observation creates reality from possibility.

So, let’s connect these two powerful ideas. Your RAS is your personal, built-in observer. The reality you experience is determined by what you tell your RAS to look for. What you focus on, what you believe, and what you feel is important becomes the reality you collapse from the quantum field of infinite possibilities. This is the very core of quantum field exploration.

How to Give Your RAS a New Search Command

This is why it’s so important to stop looking for evidence of why you can’t do something. When you focus on limitations, you are actively commanding your RAS to find and show you more of them, reinforcing a cycle. If you find yourself stuck in such repeating patterns, it might be beneficial to explore techniques designed to help you break free from self-sabotage. The key is to consciously give your brain a new, empowering command.

Try this simple practice every morning before you even check your phone. It can completely change the evidence your brain finds for you throughout the day.

  1. State Your Desire in the Present Tense. Begin by choosing what you want to experience. For example, say, “I choose to know I am a confident speaker,” or “I choose to know that I’m surrounded by loving relationships,” or “I choose to know I am financially abundant.”
  2. Give Your RAS a Specific, Vocal Command. Speak directly to your brain’s filter. Say out loud, “Brain, give me physical evidence of my confidence that I have chosen,” or “RAS, bring to my attention all the opportunities for abundance today that I have consciously chosen.”
  3. Feel the Feeling of It Already Being True. This is the most crucial step. The feeling is the magnetic charge that tunes your observation. Embody the emotion of having already achieved your desire. This feeling is what calibrates your personal observer.

You’ve been told, “Seeing is believing.” The universe actually operates on “Believing is seeing.”

Give your brain a better search query, a more empowering command. When you do, it will begin to show you a world of evidence that supports your new belief, a world that you have been filtering out all along.
