Understanding the Energetic Source of Headaches

A headache, especially that nagging pressure in your temples or forehead, isn’t just a random pain. In fact, your body is sending you a signal. It’s helpful to see this sensation as a form of communication, a message from your body’s innate wisdom.

This “energetic traffic jam” is often a buildup of static in your sixth chakra, or your third eye, which stems from overthinking, worry, and burnout. Additionally, pressure can accumulate in your seventh chakra, your crown, from constantly trying to figure everything out with your logical mind. An EFT Tapping Script to Clear Your Mind and Release Headaches

Let’s move this energy together. First, take a moment to tune into your headache. On a scale of zero to 10, what is the intensity? Don’t judge the number, just notice it. Now we can begin the tapping process.

Step 1: The Setup Statements (Karate Chop)

Begin by gently tapping on the karate chop point, which is on the fleshy side of your palm. Repeat these statements after me.

  1. Even though I have this pounding pressure in my head, I choose to meet the sensation with neutrality.
  2. Even though I’m holding all this tension and static, I am acknowledging my body’s communication.
  3. Even though I have this headache, I’m choosing to be in my body and I’m safe.

Step 2: Tapping to Release the Pressure

Now, we will tap through the points. As you tap on each point, repeat the corresponding phrase.

  • Top of the head: All this pressure
  • Eyebrows: This pounding in my head
  • Side of the eyes: This need to figure it all out
  • Under the eyes: All this mental static
  • Under the nose: I can’t think clearly
  • Chin: This tension in my temples
  • Collarbone: It’s stuck, all this overthinking
  • Under the arm: This pressure to know the answer

Now just take a deep breath in and out here.

Step 3: Tapping to Install New Choices

Let’s install the new choices. Continue tapping through the same points while repeating these positive affirmations.

  • Top of the head: I’m choosing clarity
  • Eyebrow: I’m choosing to set down the ‘how’
  • Side of the eyes: I’m choosing to give my mind permission to be quiet
  • Under the eye: I’m choosing relief
  • Under the nose: It is safe to be in the flow
  • Chin: I am choosing to return to neutrality
  • Collarbone: I’m choosing ease
  • Under the arm: My mind is clear and my body is at ease

Integrating the Shift and Listening to Your Body

Again, take a deep breath in, and on the exhale, just give a nice sigh like, “ahhh.” Then, place both hands on your heart. You can close your eyes and sway a little. Simply notice what you notice. Feel the energy dropping from your head down into your body and grounding into the earth.

Now, check in with that zero to 10 number again. Has it shifted? Your body is always communicating with you, and this is a perfect example.

You can use this process anytime you need to create calmness, not just for headaches. Remember to breathe and pause. Allow the communication to flow through naturally by just being with yourself. Your body has all the answers. You’ve got this.
