Understanding Your Body’s Sanitation Department
Your body has a physical, tangible system designed for the very purpose of clearing out old energy, yet most of us have never been taught how to use it. This is your lymphatic system, a vast network of vessels that acts like a second river running alongside your blood circulation.
Its primary job is to be your body’s sanitation department. It diligently collects cellular waste, toxins, and the chemical byproducts of stress. But here’s the crucial part, unlike your blood which has the heart to pump it, your lymphatic fluid has no central pump. It only moves when you move.
Why You Feel Sluggish, Foggy, and Heavy
Deep breathing and muscular contraction are what keep this cleansing river flowing freely. So, if you feel emotionally stuck or like you are holding onto some heavy energy, this internal river can become like a stagnant pond. When this happens, toxins build up, energy stagnates, and you begin to feel sluggish, foggy, and heavy.
This discomfort is not a problem. It is an unprocessed signal asking to be integrated. Your body is physically showing you that you are not letting go.
How to Flush Away Stagnant Energy in 2 Minutes
Here is a simple two-minute lymphatic flush that you can do for yourself to get things moving again. It involves three simple steps that target key areas of your lymphatic system.
Step 1: The Joint Pump
We’ll start with your joints, which we call the joint pump. Begin by gently pumping your major joints, as this is where your lymph nodes are clustered. Perform each movement at least 10 times.
- Ankles: Pump your ankles with an up-and-down movement.
- Knees: Bend and straighten your knees repeatedly.
- Hips: Lift your knees up towards your chest, one at a time.
- Wrists, Elbows, and Shoulders: Create gentle pumping movements with your arms, focusing on each joint.
Step 2: The Collarbone Trace
Next, use your fingertips to gently trace the line of your collarbone. Start from the outside near your shoulders and trace inward towards the center of your chest. Repeat this tracing motion about 10 times. This simple action helps drain the major lymphatic duct located in this area.
Step 3: The Power of Three Breaths
Finally, harness the power of your breath. Take three of the deepest, most powerful diaphragmatic breaths you can manage. As you breathe in, consciously push your stomach up and out, which creates a vacuum-like effect inside your body.
Then, as you exhale, powerfully draw your stomach all the way down and in, pushing the lymphatic fluids downwards and through your system.
Integrate and Recharge Your System
With just these few simple movements, you have manually initiated a cleansing cycle inside your body. You have physically participated in the act of letting go, or as I like to call it, integration. Use this technique once a day, and you will start to notice a clearer, recharged system.
