Have you ever felt that maybe we are doing chakra work all wrong? I stopped ‘clearing’ my chakra blockages and started listening to them instead, and it changed everything. It’s a challenging thought, but it’s vital to understand that your chakra ‘blockages’ are not the enemy. In fact, every time you try to remove a blockage from a chakra, you might be damaging its core structure.

The Lie of the ‘Spiritual Sanitation Program’
We are consistently told to clear, cleanse, cut, blast, and remove blockages from our chakras. This approach can be called a spiritual sanitation program, and it’s fundamentally based on a lie. It’s time we embrace the truth.
A chakra is not a pipe that gets clogged. On the contrary, it is a profound, intelligent neurological and energetic information processor. Understanding this shift in perspective is the first step toward a more integrated and holistic approach to your own energy body.
Why Your Chakra ‘Blockages’ Are Not The Enemy
That blockage you feel, that tightness in your throat, that ache in your heart, is not an enemy. It is unintegrated information.
That feeling is a messenger. It represents a part of your consciousness, a memory, or an imprint that is screaming for your neutrality and your presence. Every time you go to war with it and try to force it out, you are re-traumatizing your own system. You are reinforcing the single most damaging program on this planet, the program of separation.
By fighting it, you are literally telling your nervous system that a part of you is bad and unwelcome. This creates the real damage to the chakra’s structure. It is the deep wound of self-rejection, and this is precisely why the blockage always seems to come back. Its message was never, ever received.
How to Listen to Your Body’s Message
The next time you feel that familiar blockage, I invite you to try something different. Do not go to clear it. Instead, follow these simple steps to listen and integrate its message.
- Place your hands directly on that part of your body where you feel the sensation.
- Close your eyes and breathe into it, not at it. You are not sending energy to fix it, you are sending your presence as a signal that you are ready to listen.
- Now, ask this one simple, neutral question, “What is the message you have for me?”
- You don’t need a mental answer. Just sit with the feeling. Notice the subtle softening as that part of you finally exhales, knowing it has been heard.
Embodying the Communication
Allow the communication to come to you, often when you least expect it. Then, the next step is to embody that communication and its message. The first step to embodiment is simply remembering how to communicate with your body. Every single signal it sends is guidance, not a blockage.
This is the profound difference between fighting yourself and embodying your wholeness. Remember that support is always available, and gentleness towards yourself is the beginning of this beautiful journey.
