I often hear people say they’re waiting for ‘the right gear’ before they can start creating content, but I’m here to tell you that you don’t need a tripod, you need this simple shift in perspective. Recently, I stopped waiting and found a natural tripod on the beach that works better than anything I could buy, and it completely transformed my creative process into something simple and fun.

Discovering the Perfect Outdoor Studio
I absolutely love making TikTok videos while I am walking on the beach. The other day, I found the most awesome thing which has become my new outdoor office. Let me just show you, because it’s fantastic. As you can see, we have the beach right here, and it’s absolutely amazing.
There’s this big rock that works perfectly as a chair. I can just sit right here on this big rock, and it’s an incredible experience. Then, right over here, there is this big old piece of driftwood, which is really, really cool if you ask me.
Why You Don’t Need a Tripod, You Need This Natural Setup
With this setup, I’m able to just place my phone right in a little nook in the driftwood. My PopSocket makes it hang right there perfectly. This is honestly the best outdoor recording studio I have ever found. You just set the phone right there, and look at that. No tripod needed, nothing. I can sit here and make videos and talk to you all morning long. It’s absolutely amazing and makes creating so easy.
So maybe use this as your inspiration. If you’ve wanted to put yourself out there, get on the internet, and talk about the stuff that you love, just take your phone. I recommend getting one of those little PopSockets that goes on the back, as it makes the phone really easy to hold and position.
An Invitation to Simply Create in Nature
Then, just go wander around in nature. You know what? You will find a natural tripod that will let you set it up so you can make videos. It’s an awesome and grounding experience. The only extra gear I use is a microphone when I come down to the beach, simply because the ocean is so loud, and you can’t hear me otherwise.
When you allow your inspiration to flow through, when you allow yourself to just create because you can, because you want to, because you have something to say… it’s beautiful.
