Many of us on a spiritual path have chased those incredible ‘peak states’ of bliss, only to find ourselves crashing down into a ‘dip’ afterward. I used to think the goal was to escape the dip and get back to the peak, but I’ve realized the true mission is to become the messenger of your own bliss. It’s about learning to bring the unconditional love and total allowance from that peak experience directly into the moments of struggle, transforming your entire reality from within.

Understanding the ‘Peak State’ of Higher Consciousness
The state of your higher consciousness, the highest level, is one of non-experience. It’s that same peak bliss state people often describe during a near-death experience. In that space, you’re not ‘alive’ in the conventional sense. It feels like absolute bliss, rest, and joy… a complete relief from all the pressures of this life.
Imagine having a really messed up, weird dream. When you finally wake up, there’s this profound sense of relief. “Thank God that wasn’t real,” you think. That moment of waking is the bliss state for the version of you that was trapped in the dream.
Now, what if your dream-self could remember that waking moment? It might spend its dream-time trying to access that feeling again, viewing your waking self as its higher self. This is a helpful analogy for what we experience. We have a peak awakening, touch a new level of consciousness, and access a non-experiential state of absolute stillness.
Source Consciousness: The Field of Infinite Possibility
This state of everything and nothing all at once has many names. Scientists might call it dark matter, while quantum physicists refer to it as the quantum field or superposition. Nothing can happen there, so you can’t live there and still be here. However, you can bring insights from that place into this reality to create whatever you want.
This experience is complete neutrality, which we might also call perfect love. It has allowance for all the bad, all the good, all the ups, all the downs… all of it all at once. It’s complete allowance.
It feels like bliss, love, and joy because when you touch it, it has full allowance for you. It has allowance for you to be connected or not connected. It’s an energy of absolute indifference, a cosmic “I don’t give a fuck.” It doesn’t matter if you call it God, Source, or Higher Power. When you make contact, it shatters your perceptions and makes you question everything.
This unconditionality feels like heaven, but it’s actually none of those things. It just is and isn’t simultaneously. From our individualized, polarized perspective, we assign meanings like “love” or “joy” to this superposition state because it feels like finally coming home. It feels like total acceptance.
The ‘Dip’ and the Misguided Chase
After one of these peak experiences, you might notice instant manifestations and a rapid ability to create your reality. This happens because your brain is still vibrating closer to that superposition state, making reality much more flexible. All possible realities are easier to access.
But then, we come down from that high. We enter the “dip,” the other end of the frequency. This part of us knows nothing of that peak state. We find ourselves in struggle, wondering why the instant manifestations are gone and why everything feels so hard. We put ourselves through turmoil trying to get back to the peak.
This is where we get it wrong. The “downstate” is just as valid and held within that same superposition as the peak state. They are two options within the same field of potential. You never actually left the peak state; you are simply exploring another valid experience within the whole.
How You Are The Messenger of Your Own Bliss
The solution is simple. We must bring the full allowance, the unconditional love we felt at the peak, and share it with the part of ourselves that exists in the other polarization. This is why we approach every part of ourselves with perfect love, even the screwed-up parts with old patterns that hold us back.
You become the bliss state for the part of yourself that has never touched it yet. You become the messenger of that joy to a part of yourself that doesn’t know what that is yet.
We carry what we discovered in the peak state of connection to the part of ourselves that has been existing in separation. We show it that even though it feels separate, it is simply using its connection to all possibilities to create the experience of separation… which is also a valid choice. There’s nothing wrong with it.
The Pitfall of Conditional Love
Here’s a crucial distinction. If you approach the part of yourself in the “dip” to bring it love on the condition that you can get back to the bliss state, you’re missing the point. That isn’t unconditional love; it’s a highly polarized transaction. It’s not the energy of higher consciousness.
When you do inner work with an insistence on a specific outcome, you aren’t truly bringing that unconditional energy through. The connection can’t happen, and the collaboration within yourself breaks down. The magic of instant manifestation happens when you are met with unconditional love from your higher self. You must then become the messenger of that same unconditional love to the parts of you that have never felt it.
This is the razor’s edge of having intention while also allowing every part of yourself to do whatever it needs to do, for as long as it needs to do it. You provide guidance and clarity without force.
Embracing the Full Spectrum of Life
When we practice this, the bliss state begins to permeate all sides of our life. Life is an oscillation of ups and downs, happy and sad moments, exciting and dull ones. We will never exist in an infinite bliss state as an individual because we are not the source superposition itself. We are an aspect of it, having an experience.
So, we become the messenger to ourselves. This journey of spiritual expansion and personal growth is about carrying that joy and bliss into every corner of our being. As you master your own energy, sometimes that also means becoming a messenger for others… through coaching, creating art, or simply sharing your story. To awaken ourselves, we must help awaken everyone else, and to awaken others, we must first awaken ourselves.
