Why Your Vision Is Blurring the Present Moment

If you can see the horizon perfectly, but you need to hold your phone at arm’s length to read, your body isn’t just aging. It might be trying to avoid what’s right in front of you. This article explores an energetic perspective on vision and answers the question, is your body using farsightedness to avoid the present moment?

If you haven’t seen me yet, I’m Aela Lee and I love exploring the language of the body.

The Energetic Meaning of Farsightedness

Medically, this condition is called hyperopia or farsightedness. From an energetic viewpoint, however, this represents a disconnection between your third eye, which is your vision, and your root, which is your presence. This specific vision pattern often appears when the immediate details of your life feel overwhelming or painful. Think about the bills, the reflection in the mirror, or your current reality.

In response, your body adapts by literally blurring out the “right here, right now.” This allows you to focus instead on the distant future or the big picture. It becomes a program of what we can call “future tripping.”

Why Your Vision Is Blurring the Present Moment as Self-Sabotage

You might find yourself constantly saying, “I’m trying,” “I’m working on this,” or “I need to work on that.” Yet, most things are left undone because you’re perpetually “working on them.” You are always placing the action and the result in the future. Your body feels safer looking at “someday” than looking at today.

You cannot create your future if you aren’t home in the present to build it.

This is actually a subtle self-sabotage program that manifests as the physical eye condition. Your body is communicating by not seeing the details now, which in turn prevents you from actually changing them now. You find yourself waiting for a better view, for a conditional change that never arrives because you aren’t truly present to create it.

The Fingerprint Anchor: A Technique to Call Your Vision Home

Let’s use a simple but powerful exercise to call your vision home. We can call this the Fingerprint Anchor. It is designed to ground your energy and bring your focus back to the present moment.

How to Practice the Fingerprint Anchor

  1. Hold up your hand in front of your face.
  2. Look closely at your own fingerprint. Really try to focus on the unique lines and swirls.
  3. If your vision blurs, just soften your gaze and accept what you see without judgment.
  4. Inhale and imagine reeling your energy back from the horizon, pulling it right into your palm.
  5. As you do this, say this affirmation to yourself, either out loud or internally.

I choose to remember I am here. I’m safe. I choose to see the beauty right now in front of me. The power is not out there. It is right here.

Everything is Perception

If you need support, we are diving deep into the seven cycles of self-sabotage. You can literally shift this pattern by shifting your perceptions, and you can learn more about how to do that by checking out our event for cycle breakers. There are even schools out there training people to see with blindfolds. This shows that everything is perception; it has nothing to do with just the physical eyes. If you would like to grab your seat for our next training, I’ll see you there.
