Why You Shouldn’t Rush Your Spiritual Awakening

In this cautionary take, we’ll explore why you shouldn’t rush your spiritual awakening and why that initial profound moment is a catalyst, not a destination to chase. Many people experience a Kundalini awakening or a powerful “aha” moment that catapults them onto their spiritual journey. However, this initial event was designed to be a starting point, not the ultimate goal you fight to get back to.

The Awakening Moment: A Catalyst, Not a Destination

That profound moment of clarity is meant to show you what’s possible and what you’re capable of. The next step is to carry that awareness into every moment and every aspect of your life. It is not about polarizing to exist only in that heightened state. I used to think that was the goal, too. But lessons learned down the road teach you that it’s not the destination; it’s a catalyst moment.

This experience is designed to shatter your reality, break your perceptions, and bust you out of your old framework. It serves a powerful purpose.

The Dangers of Rushing: Spiritual Induced Psychosis

However, if this process happens too fast, with too much intensity all at once, it can be detrimental. It can leave people in a position where they have no context for their experience. As a result, they can become very disassociated from the world, life, reality, and even themselves. This can lead to what we might call a spiritually-induced psychosis.

This is precisely why, as often as people ask, I refuse to do certain things. I am constantly asked, “Can we do an entire 13-chakra or nine-chakra activation in one session?” And while yes, I technically could, the answer is always no, I won’t. The average person is in a place where that would be very damaging.

The reason I initially do not introduce clients to such a powerful technique is simply because it is so potent, and most people lack the context to handle it. You are essentially giving someone a powerful tool to activate Kundalini energy all the way through their chakras without the necessary preparation or understanding.

A Cautionary Tale: The Consequences of Chasing the High

I once shared a powerful technique on a TikTok live while telling the story of how I overwhelmed myself with it. I warned everyone repeatedly, saying things like, “Do not do this all at once. You need to sit down and do at least one chakra a week.”

That same week, I received at least five messages from people who had blown themselves to bits. They were basically saying, “I wish I’d listened to you. My life is shredded.”

I told them not to do it, but people chase that peak experience, often without understanding the repercussions.

Why You Shouldn’t Rush Your Spiritual Awakening: The Need for Integration

This tendency to rush is another reason why in our material and processes, we unlock content one week at a time. For those looking for a structured way to navigate this journey, we offer a guided process called the Ignite Your 13 Chakra Blueprint. It’s a scheduled event, so be sure to check the registration page for the next available class. There’s a reason we put those controls in place.

For instance, I had somebody decide, “Yeah, I’ve done a lot of work, I can handle this,” and they plowed through 13 weeks of material in about three weeks. What happened afterward was not pleasant, and I’m not here to see that happen to people.

True progress requires a level of embodiment, depth, and processing time. You need time to see the changes show up in your life and in your relationships. You need time to see the effects hit you where it hurts, punch you in the gut, and for you to move through those brutal moments of integration that many of you know about. If you don’t create the space for that, you blast your way through and then you spiral.

Ancient Wisdom vs. Modern Pace

The work we do through the chakras is inherently a Kundalini awakening, though I avoid that buzzword because of its modern associations. If we look at older, more ancient practices from Eastern traditions, working with the chakras was a 12-year process. That’s one chakra per year, and you wouldn’t even think about doing it faster.

Now, what was communicated to me is that humanity has increased its overall baseline vibration. More people are now capable of going through this process a bit faster. We’re seeing spontaneous awakenings because people are ready, so it just happens. This means a faster container can be functional.

However, 13 weeks is the fastest that we really want to go through this. It honors the need for integration while acknowledging our collective energetic shift. Rushing this sacred process is a risk not worth taking.
