Why High Achievers Really Burn Out

If you’ve ever asked yourself why high achievers really burn out, the hidden reason might surprise you. It has almost nothing to do with how many hours you work. The real cause is internal friction, a sign that your ‘hustle’ might just be you fighting against yourself. This perspective on burnout can change everything.

The Real Cause of Burnout is Internal Friction

To understand the source of this friction, imagine your life force is like water flowing through a garden hose. Your conscious mind, your ambition, is trying to blast that water forward to move you toward your vision. You have a clear goal and you are putting in the effort to get there.

However, there’s another unintegrated aspect of your subconscious mind at play. This is an old part of your consciousness that was originally designed to protect you based on past experiences and programming.

Why High Achievers Really Burn Out From Subconscious Beliefs

This protective part of you may have been programmed with certain core beliefs that now limit your progress. While these subconscious beliefs are different for each of us, they often sound like this:

  • “Success is only for other people.”
  • “You must struggle to be worthy.”
  • “You must work hard to earn your way.”

Now, imagine that this part of yourself is standing with its full weight on the garden hose carrying your life force. Its weight creates a kink, severely restricting the flow. This is the source of the immense internal pressure you feel.

The Exhaustion of Pushing Against Yourself

The feeling of overwhelm and burnout comes from trying to force your full power through that tiny, kinked opening. Your life force becomes a mere drip, and the effort you expend is monumental for very little in return. You can try to push more pressure inside the hose, you can try to grind your way there and work longer and harder, but you already know that strategy doesn’t work.

You don’t need a vacation as much as you need your subconscious to take its proverbial foot off the hose.

One thing that conscious entrepreneurs know how to do is to create without expending this kind of misaligned effort. They understand that if you’re exhausted from fighting this internal battle, the solution isn’t just to rest; it’s to resolve the inner conflict.

How to Finally Unleash Your Flow

The real work is to address that aspect of yourself directly. This involves learning to navigate communication inside your own consciousness to connect fully with the part that has its foot on the hose. The goal is to understand its fear and help it integrate with your current vision.

When you can help every part of yourself step forward into choosing the same vision you’re working for, the kink in the hose naturally opens. As a result, your full power flows effortlessly. If you feel you have this kind of a bottleneck in your own flow, I’m sharing a training to show you how to find that foot on your hose and help it step forward. You can learn to allow your life force to flow freely and flood your vision with your divine power.
