There’s a growing conversation online that might have you wondering if the whole ‘false light vs true light’ debate is just another spiritual ego trap. Many people are trying to label certain spiritual teachers or channels as good or bad, right or wrong. If you’ve encountered this, you know it can get confusing very quickly, leaving you to question if you are in the right energy or if a message is from source or ego.

The Subtle Danger of Spiritual Polarity
Here is the part most people don’t see. The moment you start trying to separate everything into right and wrong, you are already operating from polarity. While there is nothing inherently wrong with this perspective if that is where you choose to be, it’s important to understand that polarity always creates distortion. Suddenly, a subtle layer of fear emerges.
This fear manifests as a pressing need to be on the “right” side. You might think, “I can’t be on the wrong side of that. I need to avoid the wrong one. I need to be in the right energy. I need to vibe high.” However, this is not neutrality. It is simply fear dressed up in spiritual language.
Escaping The Spiritual Trap Of ‘false Light’ Vs ‘true Light’
From a zero-point perspective, nothing is divided in such a stark way. Light isn’t fighting dark, and truth isn’t trying to prove itself. Instead, everything is simply seen for what it is. This is because even what people label as “false light” is still a part of the greater system. It is still serving a purpose and showing you something important.
The distortion isn’t in its existence, it’s in how it’s being held in your chosen perspective.
When Ego Hides Behind a Spiritual Lens
This is where the dynamic gets very subtle. Someone can genuinely believe they are channeling source energy. But if there is still a subconscious need to be right, to be above others, or to be seen as more aligned, that is not neutrality. That is identity and ego operating through a different lens.
Real source energy doesn’t need to prove anything. It doesn’t need to justify an identity. Critically, it does not separate or position itself against anything. True source energy is neutral and holds space for both the light and the dark. It exists as peace with all aspects of existence.
How to Feel the Difference in Energy
So, instead of trying to mentally figure out what is true or false, you can start noticing something much simpler. Ask yourself about the energy behind the message or the person. You can use these questions as a guide to feel the difference.
- Is there pressure here?
- Is there a need to be right?
- Is there a “specialness syndrome” or a need to adopt a different identity?
- Is there a sense of separation, or is there peace, clarity, and neutrality?
That is where you truly feel the difference, not just in what is being said, but in the energy it is coming from. The more you stabilize in that neutral awareness, the less you will be pulled into the noise of polarity. Consequently, everything becomes much clearer.
If you want to go deeper and learn how to actually stabilize in that neutral state, we explore this inside of our weekly events.
