The High-Performer’s Paradox
Most high-performing entrepreneurs are really good at getting things done. We can be extremely productive and put in a ton of effort. However, the motivation that fuels so much of our effort comes from a single subconscious program that is also responsible for our limitation.
It might sound something like, “I have to stay busy in order to stay safe,” or “My worth is tied to my output,” or “My value is dependent on my effort.”
When our subconscious runs on these programs, we can achieve a great deal. We can be extremely productive and create incredible things. But when your worth or value is tied to your output or efforts, you’ll constantly be doing two things that hold you back.
Discovering The Hidden Bottleneck To Your Business Freedom
First, you’ll underprice yourself. Second, you’ll always feel the need to stay busy to stay relevant. Your subconscious mind will always come up with another fire to put out, another project to work on, or another emergency problem to solve.
Then, when things finally start to get good, you won’t allow yourself to enjoy it. This is because your subconscious will be waiting for the other shoe to drop. This cycle leaves you in that very familiar place where you wear “busy” like a badge of honor. You push, chase, grind, and struggle. Then you burn out, collapse, and end up self-sacrificing just to do it all over again.
