The Insidious Lie of “When I… Then I…”
Most of us are taught to think in conditional terms. “When I finally hit the million-dollar mark, then I’ll feel secure and free.” Or, “When I finally find my soulmate, then I’ll feel worthy and loved.” Perhaps you’ve told yourself, “When I finally get the recognition, then I’ll feel successful.”
This is one of the biggest and most insidious lies the matrix spins. It is the hamster wheel that keeps brilliant, powerful creators like yourself chasing a horizon that’s always moving further away. It keeps you perpetually in a state of seeking, never arriving.
Why The Feeling is the Cause, Not the Result
The truth is the feeling that you’re chasing is meant to be the cause of your success, not the result of it. Chasing the feeling is the very act that pushes it away. Why? Because it reinforces the belief that you don’t have it right now. And according to the laws of energy, you can only ever have something right now if you believe that you have it right now.
I can only pick up this phone and have it in my hand because I believe it’s in my hand now. If I thought I still needed to pick it up, it would not yet be in my hand. Think about it. Have you ever been holding something and been looking for it? Have you ever searched for your phone while it was in your hand or looked for your sunglasses when they were already on your head? By chasing the feeling of success or happiness, we prevent ourselves from experiencing the aspects of it that we already have right now.
The truth is the feeling that you’re chasing is meant to be the cause of your success, not the result of it.
Your Reality is a Reflection of Your Frequency
When you’re chasing a specific goal to have a feeling, you broadcast an energy of lack, neediness, and not-enoughness. The universe is a perfect reflection; it can only ever mirror back your own energy. Your reality creation process works through your energetics, through your frequency.

Think of your emotional state as a radio transmission. The feeling in your body right now is the station you’re tuned into, and it’s the only station you can receive. You cannot receive a life of abundance from a frequency of lack. You cannot manifest a reality of deep connection from a frequency of loneliness. It’s an energetic impossibility. You can’t tune your radio to 98.7 and hope to hear what’s playing on 102.5.
Avoiding the Trap of Arrival Fallacy
This energetic principle is why so many high achievers experience “arrival fallacy.” They hustle, they grind, and they sacrifice. They finally get the thing they thought would make them happy, and then they feel… nothing. This happens because they brought the same internal frequency of lack and striving with them to the finish line. They never actually changed their energetic station.
The key to true creation is to stop chasing. The power is in choosing the feeling state you desire, unconditionally, right now. You don’t need a reason other than you would simply like to feel it.
Happiness is not a destination you arrive at. It is a vehicle you travel in. Abundance is not a number in your bank account. It’s a frequency you choose to embody that allows the numbers to show up.
