Many of us wonder, are we being ‘practical’ or are we just letting our bank accounts dictate our dreams? It’s a common trap that quietly keeps us stuck. To truly grow, you must learn to stop letting your present define your future and instead allow your vision to lead the way.

The Common Trap of a Fixed Reality
Most people look at their current income, their current circumstances, and their current results, and then they decide what’s possible from there. This approach is what quietly keeps them stuck in a loop of the same reality.
They don’t say it out loud, but internally it sounds like this. “This is what I make, so this is what I can have. This is where I am, so this is what makes sense. This is realistic.”
Without even realizing it, they let their present define their future. This is a completely backwards way of thinking. True growth and expansion never start from a place of limitation.
Vision Before Resources: The Key to Expansion
Expansion never starts with resources. It starts with vision. You don’t wait until you have the money to start dreaming. In fact, thinking bigger is precisely what stretches your capacity to receive more. If your imagination is limited to your current numbers, you will simply recycle the same reality over and over again.
This happens because your nervous system will only move towards what it feels is available. To expand that sense of availability, you must first expand your mind. This is deeply connected to your energetic body and your capacity for spiritual expansion, a concept you can explore further as you learn to ignite your own 13 Chakra blueprint.
Are You Being Practical or Just Playing Small?
Most people secretly have big desires, but they downsize them to match their bank account. They dilute them to match their peer group. They shrink to avoid discomfort and then they label this behavior as “being practical.”
But vision is what pulls you forward. There’s a profound reason it’s said that without vision, people perish. This isn’t a physical death, but a creative, energetic, and spiritual one. When you stop dreaming bigger than your current evidence, you effectively stop evolving.
How to Stop Letting Your Present Define Your Future
Thinking big doesn’t mean you float around in a constant state of fantasy. It simply means you refuse to let your present identity be the final version of you. It means you allow yourself to see something larger for your life before you know exactly how it is going to happen.
Because the how is revealed to the person who is bold enough to expand the what.
So, instead of asking, “What can I afford right now?” start asking yourself a more powerful question: “What would I choose if I wasn’t shrinking myself?”
That question alone will begin to change your life. Your results don’t expand first. Your thinking does, and then everything else follows.
