Have you ever felt like your healing work always hits a wall? I realized my subconscious doesn’t trust me, and it’s a primary reason so many of us keep repeating the same cycles. Your subconscious mind simply won’t accept updates from a source it doesn’t trust. If you’re ready to stop fighting your subconscious mind, it’s time to understand why this trust is broken and, more importantly, how you can begin to rebuild it.

Why Your Subconscious Rejects Your Efforts
If you’ve been on a journey to reprogram your subconscious mind, you’ve likely tried various common approaches. Congratulations on the self-awareness that something needs to change. However, the methods themselves might be the problem. You’ve probably been trying to:
- Fix and heal the things that are stuck and keep you off track.
- Release and get rid of the parts of yourself that no longer serve you.
- Overwrite the “bad” programming with new programming.
The issue with this approach is that trying to “fix” something implies that it’s broken. No part of you wants to be told it’s broken, especially not your subconscious mind. In fact, your subconscious isn’t broken at all.
It’s doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. It’s running on the programming that it was given.
Your Subconscious Is an Adapter, Not an Enemy
Think of your subconscious mind like your hand. For you to pick up a coffee mug, your hand must match the structure of the mug to engage with it. Similarly, your subconscious mind has had to match the structure of your world, including all of the negative structures you’ve experienced. That’s its function.
When you approach your subconscious trying to fix it or get rid of parts of it, you are implying something very negative. Consequently, it interacts with you the same way it interacts with all other negative things, it meets you with resistance. This is why your healing work feels like such a struggle. It’s why you move forward for a bit, only to be blindsided and knocked three steps back. Your subconscious is holding things in place until you learn how to communicate with it effectively.
How to Stop Fighting Your Subconscious Mind and Rebuild Trust
Many popular healing methods, like some forms of hypnosis or reprogramming, inadvertently teach you to approach your subconscious in a way that continually breaks down trust. Your subconscious is filled with programs designed with one goal, to protect the original version of you, your inner child. It will not let down its guard if you approach it as an adversary.
For me, working with the chakra system provides an excellent template for communicating within consciousness. The key is to truly understand why your subconscious is doing what it’s doing and to work with it to move forward, not against it. We all know that healthy relationships are built on trust and communication. The same is true for your relationship with your own subconscious.
Team Up With Your Subconscious for Real Power
It’s time to end the battle between you and your subconscious mind. It’s time to team up, communicate, rebuild trust, and get on the same page. When you and your subconscious start building the same thing together, that is where true power lies. You are ready for that level of power to end the battle and start building a life you truly love.
If you feel called to go deeper, I invite you to the training I’m doing for cycle breakers. This is designed to help you understand these dynamics and finally break free from self-sabotage and repeating patterns. You can check the schedule for the next class at the link.
Your subconscious is a magical supercomputer doing exactly what it’s supposed to do. Communicate with it, rebuild that trust, understand its motivations, and support every aspect of yourself in moving forward toward your objectives.
