Why We Feel the Need to Justify Our Emotions
The first step is to recognize that you can feel anything without needing a circumstance to go with it. From a young age, we are conditioned to believe that if we feel sad, angry, happy, or excited, we need a story to back it up. We feel we need something to justify and validate that emotion.
You need a circumstance in your life that is a good enough reason for you to feel excited or a good enough reason for you to feel sad. If you don’t have a “good reason” to feel sad, many of us have been told things like this.
Well, quit crying or I’ll give you something to cry about.
You probably heard that at some point in your life. I know I did. But here’s how we use this understanding to set ourselves free.
How to Stop Manifesting The Sh*t You Don’t Want By Reclaiming Your Emotions
Your emotions are just energy in motion. As an energetic being, you are going to experience the full spectrum of emotions the human experience has to offer. We need to allow ourselves to feel all of those emotions. When we don’t, and we say, “I don’t wanna feel sad, I just wanna feel happy,” we start to push our emotions away and label them as “good” and “bad.”
When this happens, the emotions that we’re pushing away start to feel alienated. Your emotions want to be felt, seen, and heard by you. If you won’t allow an emotion to be felt, it will manifest in your life as a circumstance that provides you with a valid reason to finally feel it.
If you won’t feel every emotion and give it the potential to come into your heart and be felt, then it will go and manifest in your life as a circumstance that provides you with a valid reason to finally feel that emotion.
We end up in a place where our emotional experience of life is contingent on our circumstances. We think, “I can’t feel good unless I achieve this goal” or “I can’t feel sad unless there’s something bad happening.” Consequently, we end up manifesting loops of negative cycles because we keep pushing away the negative emotion, so it keeps creating justified reasons for us to finally feel it.
The Path to Freedom: Feeling Without Justification
Take a breath and step back from the cycle. Just soak up the gravity of what this means. When you can just feel any emotion because it’s a good emotion to feel, you become free. When you can feel good because it feels good to feel good, and when you can feel sad because sometimes it feels good to feel sad, you don’t need a story or a circumstance to justify it.
Now you are free. Your emotions are free. They don’t require a circumstance in order to be felt. This means your negative emotions don’t need to create a negative circumstance, and your positive emotions don’t need to create a positive one. You can just feel good. You can be and feel free, and your life circumstances can become stable.
Your life circumstance becomes the structure in which you have any experience that’s valid for you. You can set up your circumstances to be a stable foundation for the life you love, the business you want, and the healthy, aligned relationships you desire. Your emotions no longer sneak up behind you to manifest a shit storm because you are not feeling them.
All the negative loops and cycles essentially boil down to a part of you that feels a certain emotion that you are alienating. It goes and creates a whole circumstance to finally get your attention so you’ll give it some time and feel it. This understanding will set you free if you grasp what I’m sharing here.
