Ever feel scattered and anxious before speaking? Your energy might be ‘short-circuiting.’ Here’s a powerful physical technique I’ve used to ground yourself before you speak. If you’re a conscious entrepreneur, you probably know that feeling of being scattered or anxious right before a sales call or a big presentation. That nervous energy will unfortunately kill your authority and your resonance.

Why You Feel Scattered Before a Big Moment

The reason you feel scattered is because your energy has shot up into your upper chakras under a state of pressure. This is a common response to stress or anxiety. To regain your center, you need to anchor that energy back into the earth so that your chakra system isn’t short-circuiting. Here’s the power move to do just that.

The 3-Step Power Move to Ground Yourself Before You Speak

You can do this simple exercise anywhere, anytime. It only takes a moment to reconnect your energy and find your center. Follow these steps to shift from scattered to solid.

  1. Feel Your Feet: Start by feeling your feet firmly on the floor. Whether you are sitting or standing, become aware of the connection between the soles of your feet and the ground beneath you.
  2. Create Vibration: Now, begin to stomp or gently move your feet up and down, alternating right and left. Use enough force that you can feel the vibration travel up your legs. I am not talking about angry stomping, just a firm, consistent movement. This physical action begins to draw your energy downward.
  3. Visualize a Connection: As you do this, visualize roots growing from the soles of your feet. Imagine them plunging deep into the magnetic core of the earth and then shooting back up with a calming, cool, peaceful flow of energy. This visualization powerfully reinforces the physical action.

Understanding the Energetic Shift

The physical action and the focus of your awareness in your legs and feet moves your energy back into your lower body. In doing so, it activates your earth star and root chakras. These are the primary energy centers for grounding, stability, and feeling safe in your body.

Reinforce Your Grounding with a Mantra

To enhance the effect, say a mantra in your mind while you perform the exercise. This helps to align your mental state with your physical and energetic state. Choose something that resonates with you, such as one of the following.

  • I am here.
  • I am solid.
  • I am safe.
  • I walk with power.
  • I speak with ease.

How to Use This Technique Anywhere

The most awesome thing about this is how adaptable it is. You can do this while you walk, sit, or stand, and it doesn’t even have to be obvious. If you’re walking, just put a firm intention into each step. If you’re not in a place where you can be moving your feet, you can also simply visualize the entire process.

I’ve used this to shift the pre-stage jitters while walking up on stage when I spoke at an entrepreneur’s conference a while back. I’ve also done this right before joining a Zoom call where I was presenting to hundreds of people. You’ll be amazed at how quickly this can help you speak from a grounded place of inner stillness and confidence.

Do this before any important event or zoom call, shifting yourself to speak from a place of grounded power rather than scattered panic.
