So often when we’re called to greatness, there’s a part of ourself that holds back. It creates a subtle but powerful resistance. This part of you begins to ask a critical question that can halt all forward momentum.
What if I’m too successful and that I’m not ready to handle what comes?
This fear can be paralyzing. It triggers a self-protective mechanism that keeps you in a state of constant readiness, but never in a state of action. Instead of moving forward, you get stuck.
Why ‘Busy Work’ Keeps You Playing Small
This internal fear will keep you working on yourself, healing more things, trying to figure out the perfect strategy, and attempting to build everything perfectly to prepare for this era of success. But really, all of that is just busy work that keeps you playing small. It’s the part of yourself that is terrified of what might happen if it truly allows itself to be seen. This pattern often stems from past experiences.
- It’s the part of you that was judged in the past when you were truly authentic.
- It’s the part of you that believes your worth is measured by your output, so it has to keep you busy to feel “worthy” of greatness.
This cycle of over-preparation is a clever way your subconscious avoids the perceived risk of visibility and potential judgment.
The Energetic Impact on Your Chakra System
When you listen to that tension around allowing yourself to be seen and keep busy preparing, something significant happens. You send an implication to your chakra system and your perception, defining your success as a potential threat. This isn’t your fault. In fact, this response comes from deep conditioning in your nervous system. As you step into this new era, your nervous system simply doesn’t know if it’s safe yet.
