An Easy Way to Start Astral Projection with One Simple Exercise
To begin practicing with astral projection, just start with this one simple exercise. Commit to doing this every day for the next couple of weeks, and then let me know in the comments how it unfolds for you. The ideal time for this is when you lay down to go to sleep, as you get into that restful space where you’re just about to drift off.
- Get Comfortable: Lay down in bed under the covers, ready for a blissful sleep.
- Visualize Rolling Over: As you’re drifting off, simply imagine that you roll over. The key is to do this without moving your physical body.
- Feel the Shift: Imagine and completely feel the change in perspective that would happen if you were looking around the room as you roll. What would you see?
- Set an Anchor: To make this more tangible, place a specific object on your nightstand, like a crystal. Every night, while remaining perfectly still, visualize yourself rolling over and looking at that anchor. You are literally practicing rolling yourself out of your body for just a moment.
Taking Your Practice Further
Take this further and further with each visualization. Completely anchor into every little detail. See that crystal on your nightstand. See the painting that’s on your wall. Notice the floor at the edge of your bed as you roll up to it. Each night, push the visualization a little more. Imagine you roll over, get up, and walk down the hallway.
Initially, it’s going to feel like you’re just imagining it, and that’s perfectly fine. Visualize it consistently. At some point, you’ll slip into a trance state while falling asleep, and suddenly, you’ll be completely immersed. You’ll find yourself out of your body, walking down the hallway, and you’ll discover that it feels entirely real, except you can’t interact with physical objects anymore. You are now moving your consciousness in astral form.
Overcoming Common Fears and Misconceptions
You might suddenly be startled when you realize you don’t have your body with you. When that happens, it’s okay. You might snap back to your body instantly. You can also consciously jump back into your body or simply walk back into your room and get back in. Everything is fine.
Don’t worry about the things people tell you, like needing to maintain a “silver cord” or not looking at your own body. You and your body are a perfect consciousness. You already know how to do this because it’s completely natural. It can be a bit eerie or weird the first few times, but that’s okay.
Remember that the only experience you can create for yourself is the one that fits within your perceptions. Don’t allow anybody with their fearmongering and bullshit of rituals you need to do to protect yourself or shit like that to get in the way.
You Are in Control of Your Experience
You are a perfectly powerful consciousness. When you step into the astral plane, you govern the plane. You are in charge. Nothing can come in or out of your energy field unless you allow it through your perceptions. You’re the most powerful being in the universe, an ultimate creator. Embody that power, go wander around your house, and enjoy the experience of astral projecting throughout your home.
Expanding Your Astral Explorations
As you get more practiced with this, you can explore further. You can go out the window or through the door. You won’t need to use the doorknob; you’ll just be able to go right through. You can move around your neighborhood, take off and fly around, or go explore the planet and see a lot of really cool things.
Another thing you can do to take this practice further is to buddy up with someone you know who also wants to explore astral projection. Once you can move about your home, go over to their house and visit them. Of course, do this with their consent. You might go check in, take a peek, and see what they’re doing. The next day, you can check in with them and validate what you saw. This helps your brain begin to understand that this is very real.
Understanding the Nature of Consciousness
This is all possible simply because you, as a consciousness, are not your body. Your consciousness is embedded into the perspective of your body. It has become so accustomed to viewing experience through that lens that shifting your perspective can be challenging, but it is not impossible. Consciousness is everything and everywhere.
There is no limitation to how far you can go, where you can go, or what you can discover as you begin to move your consciousness into the quantum field, beyond the limitations of your body.
An Advanced Technique to Try
