Understanding the Hidden Meaning of Your Joint Pain

The location of your joint pain, whether it is osteo or rheumatoid arthritis, provides a specific message about your inner resistance. The left and right sides of the body represent different energetic polarities. Understanding which side is more affected is the first step in decoding what your body is trying to communicate about your emotional and spiritual state.

The left and right sides of your body are telling two very different stories about what you are resisting.

Pain on the Right Side (Masculine Energy)

Pain or stiffness on the right side of your body is connected to your masculine currents. This energy governs giving, action, and your orientation toward the future. It acts as a literal brake pedal on your forward momentum, signaling fear or resistance related to taking action or moving ahead in your life, especially in your career.

If you are experiencing discomfort primarily on your right side, your body may be sending you messages like these.

  • “I’m afraid to take the next step.”
  • “I feel burdened by responsibilities I don’t want.”
  • “I am resisting moving forward in my career.”

Pain on the Left Side (Feminine Energy)

Pain or stiffness on the left side of your body relates to your feminine currents. This energy represents receiving, emotional flow, and your connection to the past. It signifies a hardening of your heart against receiving love and help, often stemming from unresolved emotional wounds or an unwillingness to forgive yourself or others.

If your pain is predominantly on the left side, your body is likely communicating one of the following feelings.

  • “I’m holding onto an emotional hurt from the past.”
  • “I don’t trust others to support me.”
  • “I refuse to forgive.”

How to Reintegrate Flow with the Willow Movement

To reestablish communication with your body and reintegrate flow, you can practice a simple exercise called the Willow Movement. This practice helps release resistance and balance the masculine and feminine energies within you. It is a powerful way to begin addressing the root energetic cause of your physical discomfort and start healing.

Follow these steps to reconnect with your body’s natural state of flow.

  1. Find a comfortable position, either standing up or sitting tall.
  2. Play some soft music in the background to create a calming atmosphere. You can find some of my frequency music here to support this exercise.
  3. Move your body very gently, like a willow tree in the wind. The movement should be fluid, yielding, and unbroken.
  4. If you hurt on the right side, visualize yourself moving forward with intention. Push through the air with grace and repeat the affirmation, “I choose to move forward with ease.”
  5. If you hurt on the left side, open your palms to the sky. Repeat the affirmation, “I’m open to receive. I choose to set down the past and create now.”
  6. Conclude by saying to yourself, “I yield, I trust, and I flow.” The goal is to balance the sides to balance the body.

Breaking the Cycle of Self-Sabotage

This physical pain is often the final manifestation of deeper issues. It frequently originates from past traumas that first appear as subtle self-sabotage patterns. Over time, these patterns manifest more deeply within us, creating physical conditions like joint pain. Recognizing and addressing these root causes is essential for true healing.
