Have you ever dismissed certain people as being ‘surface level’? I discovered that when I started treating the grocery store like a sacred temple, it completely changed my perspective, revealing how every moment is a sacred connection waiting to be discovered. This simple shift in mindset can transform mundane interactions into profoundly meaningful experiences.

Shifting from Judgment to Preference
When we begin to make judgments and label one thing as “surface level” and another as not, we create unnecessary division. In reality, it’s not about one being better than the other; it’s simply about preference. My preference might be this, while their preference is that. And that is perfectly fine, even when we are sharing the same space.
So, what if we chose a different path? What if I genuinely took an interest in their preference, or allowed them to genuinely take an interest in mine? By doing this, we can meet on common ground without labeling one preference as lower or higher than the other. This opens the door for authentic connection beyond our initial judgments.
Recognizing that Every Moment is a Sacred Connection
This idea of shifting perception reminds me of how people associate certain places with sacredness. For example, many of us feel a special energy in a temple, an ancient site like the pyramids, or other revered locations around the world. We might say, “This is a sacred place. It’s got sacred energy.” But what if that energy isn’t confined to specific locations?
I saw a video on TikTok by a shaman that beautifully illustrated this point. He usually posts videos of shamanic ceremonies, activations, or teachings. However, this particular video was different. He was just walking around a Costco, which for those who don’t know, is a large warehouse market store in the United States.
The Shaman’s Wisdom from Costco
As he was shopping, he shared a powerful message. He said that if you believe standing in a Costco is a less sacred place than standing in a giant temple, you are limiting your ability to connect with Source. You are not allowing yourself to truly understand what “sacred” means.
Sacred is present, sacred is everywhere. We are the sacred, and every place is as sacred as we choose to allow it to be.
He encouraged everyone to start treating everyday activities with this reverence. Go shopping at the market and consider it a sacred place. This approach to spiritual expansion invites you to see the divine in the ordinary. For those ready to deepen this connection, exploring your own energetic system through frameworks like our Ignite Your 13 Chakra Blueprint event can be a powerful next step. We invite you to check the schedule on the registration page for the next class.
Furthermore, he suggested we start meeting everybody while considering it to be a sacred connection. When you adopt this mindset, you might be surprised at how meaningful a random conversation can become. You may also be amazed by the depth of joy you will experience in these simple, present moments.
