The Secret Language of Arthritis

Have you ever explored the connection between chronic self-criticism and autoimmune conditions like rheumatoid arthritis? If you’re dealing with rheumatoid or psoriatic arthritis, where the body actively attacks the joints, this is not just simple wear and tear. This post will explore The Secret Language of Arthritis, revealing how these conditions can be a physical manifestation of a deep, inflamed program of self-criticism. As Aela Lee, I love helping people understand how the body communicates its deeper truths.

Distinguishing Autoimmune Arthritis from Osteoarthritis

First, let’s distinguish the difference between these conditions because the energy is totally distinct. While osteoarthritis is often associated with rigidity and is more passive, autoimmune arthritis like RA is an active process where the body is fighting itself. In these conditions, the immune system is actively attacking its own hinges and its own ability to move forward in life.

The Secret Language of Arthritis: Inflamed Self-Criticism

Energetically, this condition connects the solar plexus, which is the center for the fire of anger and resentment, to the heart, which is the center for self-love. This signals a core belief that “I’m doing it wrong,” “I’m wrong for moving in this way,” or “my direction is flawed.” It often represents the internalization of strict authority or a relentless perfectionism.

You are literally inflamed with judgment against your own choices.

The heat, the swelling, and the pain are the physical friction of being at war with your own nature. Your immune system is loyally trying to protect you from this part of yourself that you have judged as “not self.” There are many situations and experiences that can create this perception, including simple beliefs that we take on every single day. It is important not to blame yourself for this, because everything is shiftable through your choice.

A Simple Key to Reestablish Communication

Here is the body key to reestablish communication so that you can begin to shift this internal conflict. I like to call it the “system cool down.” The primary goal is to tell your internal system that the war is over.

The System Cool Down Exercise

  1. Gently place your hands on one of the painful areas.
  2. Do not try to heal it. Instead, just offer it a feeling of safety. Imagine your hands are made of cool, calming water.
  3. Speak directly to your immune system, which is the part of you trying to protect you. Say, “Thank you for your vigilance. But there is no enemy here. This is me. We are on the same team.
  4. Visualize the red alert light in your body just turning off. Then, imagine a cool, soft blue light washing over the joint.
  5. Say to yourself, “I’m safe to inhabit. I’m safe to be here.

When the body realizes that it’s safe, the heat begins to drop. If you need more dedicated support with this and other deep patterns, you can submit an application to work with me one-on-one.
