Stop Fighting Your Ego. Befriend It Instead.

Have you been approaching your ‘ego work’ all wrong? Many spiritual and healing practices teach us to kill the ego, but this can cause more harm than good. My perspective is that the common approach of ‘killing the ego’ is a direct cause of self-sabotage. It’s time to learn how to stop fighting your ego and befriend it instead. Your ego’s lack of trust in you is the number one thing keeping you stuck, unable to move forward, and preventing you from creating the life you truly love or embodying your spiritual expansion.

The Misunderstanding That Fuels Self-Sabotage

You’ve likely been on a journey to heal yourself, clear your blockages, and maybe even “kill off” your ego. But the ego is completely misunderstood by most of the spiritual and healing community. The very approach of trying to kill your ego creates a greater divide between you and it. This leaves your ego in a position where it doesn’t trust you. As a result, it sabotages your growth and success.

My name is Aarun, and I work with people to break the cycles of self-sabotage by integrating their consciousness with the 13 chakra system to create lives they truly love. I’ve seen firsthand how the war against the ego backfires.

What is the Ego, Really? The Inner Child That Got Tough

You’ve been told you need to kill your ego to ascend to a higher level of consciousness. But what most people don’t realize is that the ego is the inner child that had to get tough. It’s the part of you carrying the immense weight of responsibility to deal with what is, objectively, a very challenging world. Think of it as the protective layer built around your inner child to preserve the purest aspect of your consciousness.

The ego is carrying the weight of responsibility to deal with what is objectively a very fucked up world. It’s the protective layer that was built around your inner child.

This part of you had to take on the job of dealing with all the negative situations in your life. Because of this, it matches the resonant vibration and structure of everything in your past.

The Ego’s True Role: Your Experience Engine

Let’s use an analogy. Think of your ego like your hand. To pick up a coffee mug, your hand must match the shape and structure of the mug to hold and interact with it. In much the same way, your ego interacts with your world by matching its structure. It is your experience engine; it’s the part of your consciousness that allows you to experience the world.

However, the ego was never designed to be in charge or make the choices. At some point in your life, you may have felt small or powerless. You retreated to the background, and your ego had to step up. It did its best, making decisions based on the programming from past negative experiences. Naturally, these decisions often lead to repeating the same negative patterns, because that’s the only framework the ego has to work with. Inside, the ego is simply a scared inner child that has been protecting you all along.

Why You Must Stop Fighting Your Ego and Befriend It Instead

So when you approach your ego with the idea that you need to kill it off to ascend, you shatter its trust. It has been tirelessly protecting and defending you and your inner child. Now, you’re threatening its existence, which it perceives as a threat to your inner child. In response, the ego fights back. It creates self-sabotage. It prevents you from moving forward because it fears being left behind, and no part of your consciousness can ever truly be left behind.

It’s time to flip the script. Instead of fighting your ego, what if you learned to communicate with it? What if you rebuilt the trust between yourself, your ego, and your inner child? By fostering true communication, you can understand what these different aspects of your consciousness have in common and how they can work together to create a life you love.

You cannot create a life that you love with only half of your consciousness. You can’t get rid of the ego half and then go live a life that you love because there will be nothing left to experience it.

Your higher self is the sum total of all aspects of your consciousness. This includes your inner child, the current you, your ego, and every other part of you. You can’t ascend if you don’t bring every part with you.

The 13 Chakra System: A Bridge for Inner Communication

We need to build a bridge of communication between every aspect of our consciousness. I have found that the chakra system provides an excellent energetic template for this, but not the commonly known seven-chakra system. The seven-chakra system stores the programs and distortions from the world around us.

Beyond that is a seldom-discussed 13-chakra structure. This structure retains the original blueprint of who you were before the world told you who to be, before your inner child retreated, and before your ego formed as a defense mechanism. By working with your 13 chakras, you bring that original blueprint back into your main seven-chakra system. The entire system then powers up, becoming a bridge of communication between every part of yourself.

This integration allows the ego to step back from the driver’s seat it was never meant to be in. It can return to its role as the experiencer of life while you take the wheel. But the ego will never let you back into the driver’s seat if it doesn’t trust you. In truth, it’s your best friend, but you may have betrayed it along the way. Reestablishing that trust starts with inner source communication.

Your Invitation to End the Inner Conflict

If you’re ready to build that bridge of communication within yourself and expand your chakra system into a container where you, your inner child, and your ego can co-create a life you love, I have an invitation for you. It’s time to live out the Harmonic Source blueprint of who you were before this world told you who to be.

I invite you to the Cycle Breaker training I’m holding. You can learn more and check the schedule for the next event to break free from self-sabotage. It’s time to end the inner battle and instead embrace every part of yourself with perfect love, perfect trust, and clear communication. I hope to see you there.
