What if your inability to focus is a superpower in disguise? Does it ever feel like you struggle to concentrate not because you lack focus, but because you are seeing far too much at once? Many creative, big-picture people have been told they have a focus problem or ADHD. However, this might be a misunderstanding of how your unique mind works. It’s time to reframe this trait as the gift of a ‘holographic mind’.

The Holographic Mind in a Linear World
Imagine your brain is wired to be a holographic processor in a world that consistently demands linear focus. Many of the most creative visionaries I know have been labeled with focus problems. But what if this isn’t a problem at all? What if your brain is simply designed to see the intricate connections between everything, all at once? This way of processing isn’t linear; it’s holographic.
A Neurological and Energetic Perspective
From a neurological standpoint, this experience can be related to the brain’s Default Mode Network (DMN), the part responsible for daydreaming and creative association. For many with a holographic mind, the DMN remains highly active even when the Task-Positive Network (TPN), which gets things done, is supposed to be engaged.
Energetically, this is the signature of a highly active third eye chakra, which perceives multiple realities and timelines simultaneously. This is often paired with an under-active solar plexus chakra, your center of will and action. Your perception (third eye) is so wide open that your ‘doing’ center (solar plexus) doesn’t know which single reality to lock onto and act upon.
You are a human portal and you’re trying to shove all that energy through a tiny, linear to-do list.
Itโs Not a Lack of Focus, Itโs a Diffusion of Focus
The issue isn’t a lack of focus; it’s a diffusion of focus. When you try to force this vast, holographic energy through the narrow channel of a linear to-do list, it creates internal static and a feeling of overwhelm. The gift is possessing this incredible holographic mind. The work, then, is learning to give it a single point of action to flow through, one task at a time.
How to Anchor Your Will and Prove Your Inability to Focus is a Superpower
We can channel this expansive energy by anchoring the will. Here is a simple but powerful body key you can use anytime you feel that scattered, all-over-the-place energy. Instead of trying to force your focus, we will define it.
A Simple Body Key for Defining Focus
- Take two fingers and find the spot just below your sternum, at the base of your rib cage right in the center. This is a key axis point for your solar plexus.
- Press firmly but comfortably on this spot. You don’t need to force it; just hold a steady pressure that feels right for you.
- Now, take one single, deep, sharp breath in.
- As you hold this point, state one single thing that you will do right now. Not a ten-step plan, just one immediate action. For example, “I am writing this one email,” or “I am opening this document.”
By doing this, you are using a physical anchor to gather all that diffuse creative energy from your third eye. You are then directing it through the channel of your solar plexus, which is your will. You are consciously telling your holographic mind, “Of all the realities we can see, we are choosing to actualize this one. Now.”
You are a big-picture processor. You just need to learn how to anchor your magnificent energy.
So, try this body key and tell me in the comments, what is the one thing you are choosing to create or actualize in your reality right now?
