I used to think motivation was everything, but I’m starting to believe it’s actually a trap. For conscious entrepreneurs, the idea that motivation is a myth and action is the key is a hard truth to swallow, but waiting for that perfect feeling is the number one reason so many dreams are dying. We’ve all been there, caught in a cycle of excitement that fades too quickly.

The Dopamine Trap of Initial Excitement
You get a brilliant idea. You’re fired up, you’re excited, and you pour your energy into it for a day, maybe two. But then what happens? That initial high, that rush of excitement, inevitably wears off. You wake up on day three or four and you just don’t feel like it anymore. So you stop, telling yourself you’ll get back to it when you feel “motivated again” or when “the alignment” is right.
That is a trap. That initial feeling isn’t true motivation. In reality, it’s a dopamine hit. It’s a temporary chemical reaction to the novelty of a new idea. This feeling is not designed to last, and it’s certainly not what builds empires or changes lives. When that feeling fades, you haven’t lost your motivation. You’ve just completed the first, fleeting phase.
Why Motivation is a Myth and Action is the Key
The real work, the work that truly matters, begins when you choose to show up even when you don’t feel like it. This is where so many people get it backward. They wait for a feeling to compel them to move, but the opposite is true.
Action creates motivation, not the other way around. You have to generate the energy yourself through movement.
Here’s the key. Don’t try to sustain that initial high, because that will only lead to burnout. Furthermore, don’t beat yourself up when you hit an inevitable low. The journey of an entrepreneur is filled with these peaks and valleys.
Cultivating the Frequency of Mastery
Instead of chasing emotional rushes, find the middle ground. Your goal should be to find the steady, consistent, sustainable energy that you can choose to embody every single day. Now, it’s not as sexy or as thrilling as that big initial burst, but this steady frequency is the energy of mastery. This is the energy that actually gets things done and brings monumental visions to life.
People often ask me how I’ve built everything that I’ve built. It’s because I understand that big ideas require a consistent level of movement. They demand a consistent focus on the reason why you started in the first place. This doesn’t mean you won’t have a lot of creative ideas that seem to go in different directions. Instead, it means you learn how to synergize all of those ideas towards one singular, overarching goal.
If you’d like support in bringing the big ideas you feel in your heart through your entire chakra system and into this world, you can get the guidance you need.
